What are your hours?
6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, every day, including weekends. Festival weekends (Oyster Ridge, FossilFest) we sometimes stay open later. We post those hours on Instagram the week of.
Where are you?
819 S Main St, Kemmerer, WY 83101, on the historic downtown triangle. Street parking is on Main Street. We are across from the original J.C. Penney store, about 15 minutes from Fossil Butte National Monument.
Are you an energy company?
No. Fossil Fuel Coffee Co. is a family-owned coffee shop and bakery in Kemmerer, Wyoming. The name is about fossils, coal country, and Main Street — not oil and gas. If a search sent you here looking for a wellhead, you have the wrong fossil fuel.
How far is Fossil Butte?
About 15 minutes west of the shop. Field crews and monument visitors already use us as the stop after a day in the quarry. Call if you are bringing a van so we can staff the bar.
Do you deliver?
No. Pickup and dine-in only. Order ahead at the order page. If you need coffee or pastry for a crew, use the catering form or call (307) 800-1483.
Wifi, dogs, outlets, kids?
Wifi yes. Dogs are welcome, especially on the patio. The shop is casual, kid-friendly, and wheelchair accessible. It is a small-town coffee counter, not a quiet office.
Can you handle a field crew?
Yes. Call (307) 800-1483 if you are bringing a crowd so we can staff the bar. Catering trays and boxed coffee are on the catering page if you want food waiting when you roll in.
Do you roast in Kemmerer?
No. Beans are organic and fair-trade, roasted above 6,000 feet in Cheyenne, then sent same-day to the shop. We do not roast on Main Street and we do not add fillers or fake flavorings.
Gift cards?
At the register and online. They work on drinks, bakery, and merch in the shop. If a card will not ring, bring it in or call and we will sort it.
